It's that time of year again! Colds, allergies and the flu! How can you defend your immune system? Just have some Fire Cider on hand... helps with building immune system and assists in getting rid of whatever bug is ailing you.
FIRE CIDER RECIPE
In a pint jar combine the following:
- 1 chopped onion
- 4 cloves chopped garlic
- 1-3 chopped jalapeno peppers (depending on their size and your desire)
- 1 large piece of ginger - chopped
- 1 large piece of turmeric- chopped
- apple cider vinegar to cover all chopped vegetables and roots
- 1-3 tablespoons of organic honey to add AFTER the month long fermentation process is complete.
- you can also add some horseradish root/chopped to the recipe if you desire
Cover with a piece of wax paper then put the jar's lid on. You don't want to have the metal interact with the vinegar when shaking jar every day. Let sit for about 30 days, shaking jar every day. Then strain after month long process is complete. Add 1-3 tablespoons of honey to the strained liquid. Amount of honey added is a personal preference
Store in the refrigerator after straining is complete. This should keep the fire cider good for one year.

As a tonic, you can take 1 tablespoon daily to boost your immune system and to prevent you from getting sick.
