It just dawned on me that I will be completing my first year of teaching abroad, and most importantly, after spending a massive awesome time with my students. They will be leaving me... in like a week's time to a new school to continue with their upper grade learning aka high school!
ONE WEEK!
We have our graduation event soon, and I am drafting a speech as their classroom teacher for the said event. Oh man, I could not even move on to the next paragraph without shedding tears. This would be my last speech, and it would be their last day of school!
... I feel like there is so much that I want to say, but I cannot seem to find the right words to say it.
Sidetrack...
This morning, the graduates were asked to write their final speech. Scroll down to read speeches prepared by three of the graduates. :')
Student A:
Hey, what’s up, BCDE peeps?! Today I am having my last speech at ___________. I have made lots of friends here, and I wonder if I am ever going to see them ever again. I will miss them more than anything. I joined ___________ when I was about 2 or 4 years old, and I really love the freedom here to do things that I like. The teachers are great. Imagine a small kid into this big boy named ________. Thank you everyone!
Student B:

Before that, I want to thank all of the teachers in this school such as Ms. Cally, Ms. ________, Ms. ________, Ms. ________, Ms. ________ and many more! I also want to thank the nannies and my friends for supporting me and always taking good care of me.
________ is lots of fun,
To learn, to read and to write,
When you just started, the fun has just begun,
If you’re new here, the teachers won’t let you out of sight!
Finally, I want to thank (the school's director) for making this school, the best school in my entire life! I am sure that everyone would agree. So, please can you clap your hands for Ms. ________!!! Thank you.
Student C:
Hello! I am ________. Throughout the years that I have been studying in ________ International School, I feel very happy and pleased for all the things here. All the good memories that I have been through, from Pre-K to Grade 5. I also want to really thank all the teachers and my friends for always supporting me in my learning until now. I love this school so much!!! Thank you.
I welcome all your advice, suggestions, and recommendations to compose my final speech. If you have done graduation speeches before, please share your insights here with us. Even if you have never done it before, just keep them coming! I hope to finalize my speech this weekend in my pyjamas! HAHAHAAA!
