Greetings and salutations fellow Steemians and, hopefully, future
I have been contemplating the first interactions I may have had with this community, but honestly I am drawing a blank on the actual "first" time I encountered them. I do remember it seemed that the vast majority of "quality" steemians I was following were either already members of the community or were applying for membership on a regular basis. These were members that I respected and thoroughly enjoyed their interactions on Steemit. They engaged the platform with passion and authenticity and that is what I craved. It was almost as time marched on, as it tends to do, that more and more of the people I followed began to add #thealliance footer on their posts.
The more and more I researched this community and learned about the core beliefs and when I observed how they approached the Steemit experience, the more interested I became in attempting to join this "family of quality". What ultimately sealed the deal for me was my participation in a recent Steemit meetup that was hosted and attended by several members of The Alliance community. Having the honor of spending time with such creative and passionate people was such a rewarding experience and to know how much the uplift and support one another is truly inspiring. I knew once I returned home, I needed to make applying a priority. I know that there are upvote and resteem rewards associated with the community, but you can get that from a bot, what you can't get is the family associated with the amazing individuals that come together in The Alliance. That, more than anything, is why I want to join this community.
It is fairly easy for me to espouse the greatness of this community, it is a much more arduous task to beat my own drum. I strive to produce quality content. Sometimes I feel I hit the mark, sometimes I feel I fail. I think that I bring a willingness to participate, encourage, and grow with everyone. I bring many years of leadership experience as well as more than a few years of banging my head against a keyboard trying to bleed my essence onto the screen. I've had ups and downs and I've experienced success and failures. I have definitely learned from both. I keep loyalty close to my heart and consider it a priority in all aspects of my life.
I sincerely hope that when I am weighed by this impressive community that I am found not wanting. I hope to enter their ranks and contribute to the best of my ability. I hope to become a member of The Alliance. Thank you for your consideration.
