Steemit City: Things are heating up on the back burner

You walk into a room. It looks something like an al-anon meeting being held at a Maker Faire.

"Hi. I'm Jake and I build shit," says a geeky looking fellow.

If you too are addicted to creativity, then you belong at SteemIt.City in Siam Reap, Cambodia.

It's pretty straightforward. We're going to keep the real world and its limitations at bay so you can focus on what you really want: creation. We're equal-opportunity, too. We want digital creators, carpenters, chefs, writers, visual artists, event planners, photographers, tinkerers, makers, coders, coders, coders, and anyone who feels a burning desire to leave their mark on the world. Amature or professional, it doesn't matter. We'll all grow together. As described in this and this post, we're going to start with a single structure and then scale out into a sort of converged office park + residential complex.

Moving forward we want to build a sustainable "village." I've recently seen these structural designs that strike my fancy. These designs maximize sustainable efficiency through a marriage of technology and ecology. And you can bet your ass that we'll be building a global network!

I figure that these are a good picture to have in your mind of what steemit.city should look like 12-18 months from now. Well, the more ornate ones may take a bit longer, but I suppose that all depends on how quickly the businesses within SteemIt.City succeed. Entrepreneurship is creativity in a pure, distilled, extra-insane form.
