Here is my ride this afternoon which mostly went through Los Gatos and Saratoga in the South Bay area, CA. Photo below is from a condo complex that I passed while heading back. They did a nice job of designing and landscaping!
The ride was 33 miles and 2100 feet of climbing. It was a cool 59* F, good for climbing...
GPS data is from a Garmin Vivoactive HR, Wahoo fitness HRM and uploaded to Strava
Another shot from the pond at the condo complex, Birds of Paradise in bloom.
It has been raining here in Northern CA over the last week or so. The moss and ferns like the moisture. This is in the Saratoga foothills, the road runs along the Stevens Canyon creek.
I went to Costco before the ride and picked up some energy bars. If you can get a hold of this brand of energy bars, get some as they are pretty good. (Take them on a hike or a long day of walking if your not a cyclist/runner)
The good thing about these bars is that they do not have any flour/wheat in them. (They do fall apart a little)
