A little over 11 months ago, I submitted a PR to steemit/condenser, the code that powers Steemit. It was merged a few days ago. It adds labels to verified accounts, to help combat phishing and fake accounts. It adds labels on posts and user pages to offical Steemit accounts:
Right now it only has labels for the "Steemit Team", but it's extensible: other affilations can be added. Enjoy :)
