BOLO (Be on the lookout): Revenue earning short links such as adf.ly. found an account using them for posting full length movies. I used my sandbox to check it out and it took me to a page that started downloading Adobe Flash update without prompting. I didn't install it to see what it really was.
Bot Posts: If you don't like it - Flag it!
If it flags back let me know!
Curation & News feed bots are on the rise and is receiving a lot of reports on them. These posts really fall under 'community service' and it is up to the community to decide if they are providing a valuable service or not.
So if you like it - upvote it! If you don't like it - flag it! Personally I wish I had enough SP to flag most of these every day all day long.

While writing this I stumbled on what looked like some clique voting but if it is... It takes to the extreme as they seem to only comment on each others posts as well and funds are being transferred to a single account.
I'm thinking they need to be fed to for later payout removal by
.
But it brings up the question of where do I draw the line? The sheer number of posts between these accounts makes the choice somewhat easy in this case. But I've stumbled across others that are not so clear cut.
Steem Growth Forum
Some interesting ideas there.
brought up something that I had been thinking about when steemit.com was having condenser issues. Onsite reporting of abuse and viewing verified content creators on site. He went a different way than I was thinking though. His suggestion is to use json to incorporate a 'web of trust' approach which would be more decentralized than my thoughts.
My thought was to create a website frontend that users can report posts directly to ,
, or any other abuse group. It would also incorporate a more formal content creator verification system and display the verification. The site could also display abuse history reported and verified. The site could use voluntary benefactor rewards for those who wish to help support the abuse groups contributing time to the project.
Unfortunately my programming abilities are pretty limited and the time I have to learn what I would need to is non existent. And before everyone starts throwing tomatoes at me for a half baked idea... I'm just sharing a thought I had since a lot of other users have stepped up to run their own condensers or websites like utopian.io built on the block chain.
"inviteafriend"
Was also one of my favorite ideas. Especially if those friends take on the role of mentoring and guiding the new users. I think that alone would help steemit grow and retain new users. One of the things I hate about all the time I spend here working on abuse is that I get little opportunity to help those that need it.
When started I spent a lot of time helping those reported for abuse. Today the workload is just to high to help with more than a few comments here and there.
With the new delegation I will be expanding my search for comment & post farms spamming. I am also considering whether or not to add other types of spam to the scope. No point in letting the SP sit there when it can be used to combat spam.
I've reached the limited capabilities of using WordPress and forms. I'm now exploring the options to develop a site with PHP & MySQL in the near future. If anyone has any better suggestions I'm all ears. PHP seems the easiest for me at the moment.
