I just found this very interesting as we all speak English but in different countries, we have different words for certain things.
I was visiting my son in the U.K. and trying to find some dry chips to buy.
They all looked at me as if I was crazy until someone realised that I was looking for crisps in a packet.
I then realised that speaking in different countries even if we speak the same language there are differences.
I found this video that I thought was enlightening as they are comparing U.K. English and American English and South African English.
We all still understand one another but that is not the words that everybody uses.
I just thought this would be fun for everyone to watch especially South African people as I think more people should know how the languages differ.
I hope you enjoy this as much as I did as ‘n braai in our country is definitely not the same as in the other two countries.
Normally we do not braai patties on the fire and think it is a barbecue.
Have a wonderful day from me and enjoy your weekend braai.
