We always wonder what happens when our children grow up, and is an expert at something.
I mean sport, like a professional swimmer or maybe win a gold medal at the Olympics.
These are things we have to teach children from a very young age, if you want, and persist anything is possible.
Make no mistake for a child to reach those heights it will take a lot of effort, hard work and persistence.
Much more than a child needs when they don’t want to go to the Olympics. This must be something they have to decide by themselves without any pressure from the parent.
Once the child has decided you can jump in and give them all the support they need. One thing they should learn nobody likes to lose but the secret is not to show it. There is pleasure for all in a family if a child reaches his goals. Not just normal goals but high expectations.
When you reach those proportions, the child must know how good he/she is but they must keep their feet on the ground as it does not make them better than other people. They worked hard for it, but other children work just as hard but may not be so visible.
In other words children must be taught to keep their feet on the ground and not feel they are better than others because of their achievements. They are still normal human beings who reached a goal and should be happy.
Be happy with your achievements as it took hard work, but it does not make you better than other people.
I hope you have a wonderful day from me and keep your feet on the ground.
