We are so inclined to think that children have to get expensive toys to keep them busy.
I remember when my children were small they would rather play with the boxes than the toys itself.
This use to make me feel terrible until I decided that is much more fun, to show children how to make their own toys.
They can even get their friends to do the same and have races or just enjoy each other’s ideas.
This video is so simple and so safe that any child can make this toy and enjoy it for hours, and when they are finished playing it does not matter because you had some lovely time with your child and it really did not cost a lot of money.

We have to realise that if we teach children to make their own toys they will maybe look after them better, and enjoy it so much more.
But the best reason to let children make their own toys is that they are enjoying talking to you and having fun at the same time.
We cannot let our children play in the street or on their own anymore as life has changed too much. That is why they must still play but maybe in another way.
If a child makes his own toys, it does make him think a bit more, and you will be surprised what they can come up with.
When they play outside, their must always be someone nearby watching them as we are living in an era where you cannot leave your child on its own anymore.
I think making toys even if it is for birthday presents for other children can really make them all happy. Our children grow up so fast and they have to learn to think for themselves.
We cannot do everything for them, as they will become lazy people, and that is not how we want our children to grow up. Remember it is so important to be a person who they can follow, what you do they will do.
It is part of life that children see what you are doing because they follow your example.
So really this is such a lovely way to start with your child learning that they cannot have everything their eyes see.
We must teach them that things are expensive and they must really learn to try and save as it is so important for them when they grow up to know how to use their money well.
By starting with little things like making toys and other things for themselves as well as gifts for mom or dad will make them feel very good.
These are things that they can only learn if you teach them, as it is not something that just come from nowhere. Life must have fun things to do, chores for children and rules that they know they must follow.
They can have all this if you let them do things like in this video.
