Hello everybody.
This post is a follow up to one of my previous articles which discusses the important roles that mothers play in the education process. It’s just a little bit of personal advice from myself and might be a useful reminder to some.
In modern times it occurs quite often within households where mothers leave their children to go and work and earn money. In these instances, they then hire the services of caregivers or domestic workers to look after the children.
For me, this is a risk I am not willing to take. In many instances, here where I live, the mothers work only to be able to cover the wages of the maid. They do this instead of staying home themselves to care for their own children and give them the affection they need.
In my opinion, a mother who leaves her children to make money that is not needed is a little ungrateful for what she has. Everyone wants financial surplus in life, but there is real value in love and family.
Have you ever thought that the caregivers you are paying to look after your children might not be caring for them at all?
One day there was a maid guarding a Chinese child in my town. Once I met with her and she proudly began to tell me about an act if yabad behaviour from the child, and the discipline method she used. I did not agree with what this lady was saying at all and in my anger, walked away.
This is just one occurrence that has lead me to be of the opinion that mothers should care for their own children if they can afford to, and not leave them with strangers. Love your child by giving them a decent life. Luxury does not need to be in the form of money and objects, time and affection is worth a lot more.
This is just my small piece of advice to parents. Hopefully this new year will be a good one for you and your children.
