Hello all steemians today i want to share one of experiment about Germination. Germination is a process of growth and development of embryos or the emergence of plantula (small plants from within the seed). Growth in plants is divided into several stages, namely germination followed by primary growth and secondary growth.
, the embryonic root (the root of the institution), the cotyledon (institute leaf), and the institution's shoot (plumula). Kotiledon is a food reserve in sprouts because at the time of germination, plants have not been able to do photosynthesis.Water is an absolute necessity for germination.
Tools and materials
We assume briefly, this is approximately the necessary tools and materials:
- Green beans
- Cotton
- Water
- Vessel
- Ruler / ruler
- Pencil / pen
Procedures
This way of working is just an example. It could be a different way of working, depending on the purpose of the experiment.
- Choose 5 green beans that must have the same shape and size
- Take some cotton and divide it into five equal parts, and place it in an open vessel/container.
- Dampen all the cotton with enough water. Keep the amount of water used to wet the same volume of cotton.
- Place on the cotton each one green bean seeds.
- Put it in a safe place and get enough air.
- Observe the germination that occurs, and record every day the length of germination at the same time interval.
Later germination that occurs like the following photos, sequence from day one to day seven.
Day 1
Day 2
Day 3
Day 4
Day 5
Day 6
Day 7
Grafic of Germination
Graph of average growth / germination of green beans for 7 days
Conclusion
The average daily length of grain per day on the germination of green beans for 7 days, from graphs that have been made easy to see approximately on what day of the fastest growth. Usually at this last sesion you have to answer questions related to the lab. Examples of the above lab is just observing the process of seed germination of green beans.
