Hi all steemian friends, on this occasion, I would like to share another interesting basic trick of arithmetic, especially for students who want to master arithmetic. This trick is named as Arithmetic Trick: Multiplying by Numbers End with ½.
In June the weather was very bright. You and your twelve friends went to the lake and boarded the boat. Ticket price of $ 4.50 per person. What is the ticket price for 12 people? To find out the answer, we must multiply 12 x 4.50 (or 4 ½ Dollars).
Here's the ways!
Multiplication by the middle number or the number that ends ½ is usually difficult. To make it easier, we can do the trick as follows. Multiply the middle number by 2 first so we get the round number. After that the multiplication is divided by 2. To be more clear, Let's try this trick to find out the answer to the above question.
Let's try with another example!
Always remember! Another trick to complete a number in the middle (1/2) is to convert it into a decimal form. If you encounter a multiplication count like 7.5 x 6, you can immediately use this trick by always thinking that 7.5 equals 7 ½.
Let's practice again!
This is all about my explanation for this basic arithmetic trick, follow my post to get other arithmetic tricks, that I will explain in my next post. Hopefully, this article useful for me personally and for you all.
