Then, those classic children's pastimes began to evolve into strange and entertaining objects until they reach what is now the fashion toy: the 'Fidget Spinner'. But this rotating tool is not just fun, it was originally created to help people with attention deficit and autism. This updated de-stressing spinning top is being sold and there is practically no child left who does not already have it. However, if used incorrectly it could become dangerous.
Since its appearance in the market, there have been cases of asphyxia in minors who had swallowed one of the three small pieces that form the 'Spinners'. As it is the case of Kelly Rose, the minor of Texas that had to be operated of urgency and whose mother denounced by Facebook the dangers of this new fashion. However, what has really made a number of English supermarkets remove the product from their stores, has less to do with both size and composition.
It is specifically those 'Fidget Spinners' that carry Led lights. It has caused so many accidents in its short time to market, even so, I do not think it needs to disappear to avoid more cases, instead we should promote in schools precautionary measures and educate a little more young people about the dangers and risks to health that we can get even in simple toys.
We should never deceive children and make them think that reality does not exist, they more than we should know that certain devices, toys and even other companions can tempt their lives, since innocence is the most deadly weapon that exists on the face from the earth.
