This is an easy way to learn Niobium, Molybdenum, Technetium, Ruthenium and Rhodium. Learning with memory techniques is much easier than rote repetition. Especially when the images are already layed out to you in a clear and intuitive way. In this series we will memorize the Periodic Table of Elements by connecting it with the Visual Major System for numbers. We will cover five elements per post with special training images for all elements and numbers. Please check out our other episodes for more elements.

Elements Legend
Each element comes with a special training image. These contain the element number, a common application, a phonetically similar image for the name and the element symbol. The color of each training image indicates the element category.

41. Niobium
In the Visual Major System 4 = F or V and 1 = T or D. With that we can create the word FEET. The fortyfirst element Niobium sounds similar like new and we can imagine a new gift for example. This element is used in super alloys and we can imagine a large melting oven.
You are dangling your feet in a glowing oven and throw in all the useless new gifts you've got for your birthday.
42. Molybdenum
In the Visual Major System 4 = F or V and 2 = N. With that we can create the word FIN and imagine a whale. The fortysecond element Molybdenum sounds like a mole. It can be used for mammography machines.
A female whale is visiting a mole doctor. The mole puts the whale into a mammography machine but the whale is too big and breaks it.

43. Technetium
In the Visual Major System 4 = F or V and 3 = M. With that we can create the word FOAM. The fortythird element Technetium sounds like the word Techno (music). The element is slightly radioactive and often used for contrast mediums so we can imagine a glowing syringe.
You are on a foam party and everyone is dancing ecstatically to Techno. Someone is offering you a glowing syringe: "Do you want the trip of your life?" he asks you.

Come up with your own story or ask your students to that.
44. Ruthenium
In the Visual Major System 4 = F or V. With that we can create the word FIFA and imagine a football. The fortyfourth element Ruthenium sounds the word ruthless which is very abstract. We can imagine someone blowing soot out of their exhaust into someones face. The element is used in hard disks.

45. Rhodium
In the Visual Major System 4 = F or V and 5 = S or Z. With that we can create the word FUZZY and imagine a fuzzy plant. The fourtyfifth element Rhodium sounds like road. The element is often used in jewellery as a coating to protect the precious metal below from oxidizing.
