Welcome to my blog, greetings to our beloved community of #Needleworkmonday and #Steemitmamas. In this publication my son and I work together to make for the first time the art of strings, and participate in the big contest in category 1.
Category 1 - Parent/Child Project Entry
To do the work with my son I tried to come up with something simple, nice and that he liked; so we selected a boat. For the elaboration of the boat we worked together, I was in charge of drawing it and opening the holes and the one of making the fabric with the crochet thread, I only helped him in a stage of the fabric, that was in the horizontal sections of the pink thread with white, my son made all the fabric alone, I was excited and surprised of how my son concentrated to do this work really that he took it very seriously, and also had fun. I suggested that we give the boat to his grandmother (my mother) for Mother's Day, but he replied that he liked it very much and that he wanted to leave it for him and put it in his room, and so this beautiful boat was left in his room, as decoration and a souvenir of this great day where we had fun working as a team.
Here I show you the video with my son doing the string art.
Here are some photos of the process
We draw the boat with pencil on the Foami
Then I open the holes where the thread will go through.
Then I highlight the back holes with a white pencil corrector.
My son proceeds to sew the first part of yellow
My son continues with the second color
In this part I helped my son with the horizontal rows.
My son continues with the last fuchsia thread
Thanks to #Steemitmamas and #Needleworkmonday for your continued support and encouragement
