Hello all, this is my mountain bike ride from this morning. The shot below is over Palo Alto/San Mateo, CA
The ride was 28 miles and 4,473 feet of climbing. (whew)

On the climb up grizzly flat, I saw a banana slug, I think he/she was sleeping b/c the eyes were not sticking out, I don't know... These slugs are quite large...
At the top of the climb was a few horse riders, they were chowing down...
I crossed quite a few bridges
Right after a small stream crossing. It's a jungle atmosphere!
Here is a pretty creek that I rode by with a lot of green ferns and moss.

This is Alpine pond in Palo Alto, there is a nature center here as well. Nice an tranquil, a great spot to take a break.
I was a little hungry after burning quite a few calories, so I got a garlic chicken pizza... (I did not eat it all) =)
