Well since I̶'̶v̶e̶ ̶b̶e̶e̶n̶ ̶n̶o̶m̶i̶n̶a̶t̶e̶d̶ ̶b̶y̶ ̶s̶e̶v̶e̶r̶a̶l̶ ̶p̶e̶o̶p̶l̶e̶ nobody nominated me, but because I find it entertaining, I will participate in this little name challenge.
The rules are as follows:
- Tell us in a post how you chose the current Steemit username you have. The story behind it
- Tell us your real name!
- If you could change your current username, which name would you choose and why? If you have a possible usernames list, mention it!

My real name is...
I'm not as mysterious as many others on this platform, and I actually go by Eve in real life too. Even though Eve is only a nickname, it is what most people know me by. Some also call me Evie, and some call me Eva. My BJJ professor Megaton seems to think that my name is Even, and has called me that since day one. I don't know why people get confused over my name, but it seems to be extremely complicated lol.
The funny thing is that I didn't start this nickname for myself. I just changed my Facebook username one day many years ago, because I didn't want my real name to be displayed. I think that people just started assuming that Eve is my real name and just started calling me that ever since. I don't mind it, because my birth name is Evelyne, which is a bit old-fashioned. Brits usually pronounce it Evil - lyn like I'm some kind of a demon, which doesn't sound very attractive. Plus nobody spells it right, which can be annoying. Eve just makes my life easier.
The other reason is work: I handle all the bookings at the Spanish school which is our business, and when people meet me in person, I don't want them to know that I'm "the girl from the emails". I prefer to be anonymous, so I just introduce myself as Eve.
Today, if anyone used my full name, maybe only 10% of my friends would know who you are taking about. Only my childhood friends and family know me as Evelyne.
So why EveCab?
My username is a mix of my first name (Eve, short for Evelyne) and the first 3 letters of my husband's last name, which I'm not sharing here because it's not my place to do so =). Sorry if I'm breaking the rules. I was not very original when I opened my Steemit account, because I simply used the same username I use on Instagram and other social media.
If I could change my username now, I would probably either choose something totally original and eccentric, like "pnmaxpt" (Panama expat) or something even simpler, like just Eve.
I know this post just blew your mind, it's probably the most interesting fact you have read today (not!), but hey it's a challenge, and I will nominate 5 people to spread the fun. I would like to see the responses of
