The Story About My Username:
Many of you know my background as a freelancer. Before I started to study, which I did just 2 weeks ago, I was a full time freelancer and I worked as a freelancer for several years in total.
When I first started out as a freelancer I used a variety of usernames. I used many of the usernames I had when I was playing computer games for instance.
inyourway and EviLDoLL. The latter quickly became EviLDoLLTV when I started to stream on Twitch.
However, what I realized rather quickly is that freelancing was business. Sure, I knew it was "business" because I could earn money by doing certain tasks for others in exchange for money... But when I started, I didn't take it that serious.
After literally months and years of trial and errors, I figured that it would take a rather catchy username to succeed. I needed a username that people would remember at first sight. I needed something that stood out.
About the same time I joined SEOClerks, I went with hitmeasap. Not because I want people to smack me on my head or give me a sucker punch, but because I wanted people to contact me as quickly as possible. I knew that I could offer people affordable solutions of extremely good quality, but instead of using a name like: "affordablesolutions4u" I was aiming for something more "personal" and something that sounded more like it was one individual rather than a username that sounded like a big corporation.
At first, I was thinking about using something like: hitmeupasap
But I decided to go with hitmeasap instead, for various reasons. One of them are stated in the above screenshot. I wasn't looking to become someone who sounded greedy. I wasn't asking people for money. And I definitely didn't want others to contact me to get money either. A shorter name is also easier to remember.
So I decided to go with hitmeasap, as it sounded better and felt more on-point.
Since that day, I've used hitmeasap on many occasions. Especially in anything related to internet marketing, money online and freelancing in any shape or form. - Which is why I used it when I joined Steemit.
Steemit gave me the opportunity to make money online... So it was easy for me to decide which username to use.
My real name is André, which is the reason for to have changed my title in the asapers Discord to: Benefactor The Giant.
As You Can See.
I Am Not André The Giant.
I would not change my username on Steemit even if I could. There's a few reasons for why I wouldn't change it, but instead of mentioning the most obvious ones like my followers and readers... The project and so forth...
I will just go with: Because I am hitmeasap.
