The Steemit Name Challenge @marty-art

I was nominated by Hive account@reggaemuffin to continue the Steemit name Challenge;

These are the rules:

1. Tell us in a post how you chose the current Steemit username you have. The story behind it.
2. Tell us your real name!
3. If you could change your current username, which name would you choose and why? If you have a possible usernames list, mention it!
4. Use the tag #steemitnamechallenge so that the creator of the challenge can track all the posts and check them out
5. Nominate 5 people for this challenge

So, let's do this!

First though: my avatar, and as far as I can remember, I haven't used it in a post in the 295 days I've been on Steemit:

1. I never wanted my steemit name to be some obscure number/letter-combination (which I would forget even myself eventually) and at the same time I wanted my name to refer to my main "thing", being art. So, whereas maarten-art doesn't have a ring to it, marty-art definately does!
2. See my webzone at the top of my blog (I see people hide in obscurity, which is everybody's right of course, but as an artist, it's hard to stay anonimous :/ Also, for everybody I'm nominating to continue this: don't feel obliged to reveal your real name if you don't want to, ok!?
3. I thought about marty-art for a long time, so I wouldn't want to change it anymore!
4. Done!
