I loved the book too! We used to live just a short way from where he went "Into The Wild". I've been over the book a bunch of times, and I'm pretty sure I was on the Parks Highway at the same time McCandless was. It's not out of the realm of possibility that I passed him hitchhiking. Just a interesting coincidence. I was inspired by the story, especially "rubber tramps" which I now consider myself to be.
