Hello, Steemians! This is my first time entering the #steemitsandwichcontest, which has been running for a full year! Wow!
Today I am eating a meatball sandwich. Sounds simple, right? Except pretty much everything I do is from scratch because I have so many food allergies. So it's a really involved sandwich! 😁
The bread is homemade "French Countryside Bread" (that's the name in the recipe booklet, lol), and the ingredients are:
Water, extra virgin olive oil, Celtic sea salt, all purpose flour, cane sugar, and bread machine yeast
My homemade bread also makes my breadcrumbs, one of the ingredients in the meatballs. Ingredients:
Ground venison, homemade breadcrumbs, milk, Celtic sea salt, organic Worcestershire sauce, onion, free range egg, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, Greek oregano
Steemit Sandwich, Assemble!
Cut off a slice of bread, and pour on some tomato sauce (admittedly, I bought the sauce, lol). Be generous so it soaks in. Add garlic powder because GARLIC POWDER. 😍 Cut a meatball in half, and lay the pieces across the bread (I can't eat a giant sandwich in one sitting, yes really, just one meatball). Top with slices of Colby Jack cheese. Heat on warm in toaster oven for ten minutes. Nom!
