I am corporeal …

                    melded to the sanguine
                               iron-blooded
                     constructed skeletal
                     encased in flesh
                     conceived by the carnal

bound to earthly veins and pulled by desires

I am corporeal

I am a ghost, a changeling

                     lost, looking for a sire
                     feeling my way
                                    heavy and clumsy
                     crushing underfoot tender things
                     grieving their demise
                     condemning my own passing

confused, distorted, by a lack of understanding

I am a changeling

I am mind

                     shapeless
                     limitless
                     boundless

existing beyond
                     yet to be forged
                                         by the elemental
