'Live and share your best life' is the motto of the newest Tribe on the block, and their arrival coincides nicely with the three year anniversary of my (first) account. More on both below.
So much has changed since account #67657 arrived in August 2016, on Steem and in my own life. That's cool though, I'm open to change and as it is inevitable I'd say that is a good approach to have.
Since 2016, I've lived in 5 different residences, on mainland Spain, an island in the Mediterranean, and at present I'm back to where I started, the UK. I've also had a couple of interesting employments - jeweler, barman, and IT guy at the United Nations, but the majority of my time has been spent here on Steem - earning, having a laugh, being frustrated to hell, and trying to do what I can to bring people along for the ride. Oh, and I've met a fair few of you guys too.
Talks about meeting Steemians, presents photo of one no longer producing content
Despite the current current market conditions, I would say that this is one of most interesting times to be here.
Less FUD more fudge please
Changes to the (clearly broken) rewards mechanism and of course the Steem-engine tribes have really rekindled the interest in creating and curating content - it's just a shame we lost so many along the way. I don't blame people for fading away - prices, life, no longer enjoying things, are just some of the reasons, but hopefully those of us still kicking about (like the vast majority of the below) will see the fruits of our labour some time in the not so distant future.
Life(style)
One of the first posts I ever submitted to the blockchain (although not tagged with #life) was a pretty forthcoming account of some not so happy times in my life that happened almost a decade and a half ago. With 3 years experience here now, I can see the post as not being the ideal intro but i'm not embarrassed or ashamed about it - it was honest, open, a window to my life back then.
Luckily, those days are long gone and I've had a much better times since, and I've shared a fair number of those here also. I have 20 #life category posts to my name thus far, but this is just the first tag and so their are likely to be more knocking around somewhere. A small selection below (which I'm sure you've already read or will right away :P )
Work/Life balance - The shackles are off again soon!
@abh12345 Life Update : A new adventure with sharks and volcanoes likely!
The eternal heartache of a distant dad
Lunch with mum, and everything else I've eaten today
Dog walks, Grandparents, and Steem all the way
On work, relocation, and when it doesn't go to plan
This week I like personal content the most
My 20 posts with the category #life are but a drop in the ocean compared to the total number of posts using this tag as their first, and so I guess it was inevitable that a Tribe arrived with focus in this area.

From what i gather from the opening post from here, photography, life (duh), and food are all clear topics to present in a #lifestyle tagged post. But to be honest, if the content is related to you, any subject has scope. Producing art today? Learning Spanish or Korean? Oh, you were in the news!?....
So as you may have guessed, I've bought a bunch of LIFESTYLE tokens (we only got 5 in the airdrop which is cool as there won't be a mass dumping), created , staked some tokens, delegated some SP to power the voting, and have already done a little curating on the tribes front-end https://www.one-life.io
At present the New feed isn't terribly busy, but I see this changing in the next couple of days. My tip would be to check the feed of your main account if you plan to create an alt for this tribe (so for me this is https://www.one-life.io/@abh12345/feed) as this would save following the same accounts.
As far as the token, the initial sale price was 0.08 - 100,000 tokens. These have all gone and the second tranche on sale at .12 (50000 tokens) are also being sold through rather quickly. I actually messaged a few friends this morning suggesting that they collect some of the first batch - no-one listens to me though :)
Anyway, I'll not dwell on the token, it's all about the content, and I hope to see my friends/followers including this tag, where appropriate.
Life is good on a bicycle
As for today, I visited my old gym at the university and it kicked my ass. It feels good though, I've been a lazy git since I arrived back in the UK with no bike to ride and no beach to visit, and I hope that when I'm settled (with a job and some cash to fund membership), I'll make the gym a part of my weekly routine again.
Alright, enjoy your day, and happy Steem anniversary to me!
Cheers
Asher
