Recently I made an extraordinarily tasty meal & wanted to share it with the world 😃
I picked some huge leaves of horseradish in my garden & at first I wasn't really sure if they are edible at all... But soon I found out they are so I started exploring & experimenting with them. I made smoothie few times. Generally the leaves ain't so spicy as the root so they go smoothly in smoothies! 😉
Sarma is also one of the most important meals on Balkans, same like the stuffed paprika which I've already described here: https://steemit.com/steemkitchen/@careassaktart/food-orgasm-vegan-stuffed-peppers-paprika-w-artichoke-and-home-made-bread-9d04111524485
Again I prepared the mixure of rice, vegetables & spices. This time I used the red kuri squash which grew in my garden...
Again I added tomato, onion, garlic, fresh chilli, but also a white zucchini given to me by this serious lady: https://steemit.com/portraitphotography/@careassaktart/very-serious
When I finally mixed it all together with spices, I started fillig the leaves & rolling them...
When I rolled up all the material & filled up the bottom of the pot, I poured some water in, covered it & shove it in the owen for approximately 30 min on 200 °C.
I served the sarma with fried green paprika which my father prepared a day before with some extra vergine olive oil, of course! ;)
#Sarma is cabbage rolls but these were the horseradish rolls! 😉
From my experiences, it's easier to roll a joint than sarma! 😂
