I've been working through the new tribe https://talkingpoint.co/ for the last few days. I love the Point Token and can't wait to learn more about it but I'm pondering the use of the tribe itself.
Politics is certainly a "hate bait" niche and 99% of we consume online is just noise but for our purposes it is a great way to get more eyeballs on the steem blockchain. Like with Leo and Sportstalk, there are lots of opportunities with TalkingPoint.
In fact when you look at the trending page what you find is mostly links to existing online articles with author commentary which ads to the content. Nothing wrong with that. I see this type of thing in my facebook feed. People linking to something they see and make some comment about it. Sometimes the comments are snarky and sometimes they are useful. But the point is, they really get people fired up.
If you go into any "political" Facebook group, this is all you see and there are dozens of comments. So my thought is, why not share links from https://talkingpoint.co/ in Facebook groups and let people engage. Undoubtedly, they will click to the source and see the earnings on the post. From there, it would be pretty easy to show these people how they too can monetize their political opinions.
So if you are into spreading the word about Steemit and Steem, this a really timely way to do say. Crypto prices may be low but political banter is severely hot right now . And, as you can see, it didn't die down after the 2016 election. Let's help this tribe profit on tribalism
