There is quite a lot to discuss concerning leadership in business. Massive investments are done by organisations and companies in their leaders and this is no surprise to me. Ask me why! This is simply because a business can be ruined by one poor leader. Just last year, A slight break has been created throughout the world due to decisions made by some of these leaders, and also many zeroes were wiped off the share price indexes for most of these companies.
People trust and depend so much on business leaders to bring together and create a strong connection between the production factors of labour, capital, land and entrepreneurship coherently without any interruption. A business with a bad leadership can be likened to when some one or a group of people are trying to arrive at new lands on a rudderless ship (i.e a ship that is unsteerable and without guidance).
Leaders are the ones responsible for creating the vision, purpose and goals of their organisation, and he makes sure everyone works towards achieving those goals. It's no more a common saying that a good leader must lead by example. In addition to that, they serve as a source of inspiration for their teams to accept as true, particularly without absolute certainty, a set of tasks that fulfills their purpose or duty and achieve greater things together. If some experienced leaders can be fully devoted to leadership trainings, that proves the need for leadership skills to be constantly made more accurate or precise.
Quite a good number of individuals used to believe that the capacity of someone to lead others lies only in their power and their authority. But the truth is that there is an essential link of leadership to behavioural science and trust. As a leader, you must be very willing to showcase the act of selflessness and empathy to people. You earn their respect and trust by doing so.
The situation of things in our modern day business requires that an active and resilient leaders need to sought after constant change as this will go a long way to help navigate organisations and teams through the process of change from one form, state, style or place to another. Emotional intelligence and Flexibility also plays a big role in the act of becoming a good leader. Being flexible brings about win-win business solutions preferably than competitive win-lose outcomes.
The modern day leaders put on so many hats. They make sure that the aim and objectives of the business are met, but they also are the ones who rallies support for any cause for the company. Good leaders always do things to bring out the best in their workers, who have a faithful feeling of being safe and supported in their work environment.
Not all good leaders were naturally not born with it. And as such, the skills to becoming a great leader can be learned! The more reason I appreciate your interesting points.
