Steemlight, here to shine the light of Steemit onto some undervalued users, curation with a smile! This week we are going to celebrate the mixing of art and intellect on Steemit.
So without further ado, let's dive right in!
Our first Steemian this week, Barry Crawford, aka , describes himself as a kinetic sculptor, inventor, and fabricator. Barry says he is best known for his second Burning Man sculpture Mechateuthis.
Barry has been posting his steempunk sculptures and more. His art has a real functional feel to it, and I want to see more.
Unfortunately Barry has not had much luck trying to make a splash in the Steem pond, so hopefully that will change soon, as we don't want to lose this talented artist from Steemit.

This next Steemian is very interesting indeed. She is one of the growing army of bloggers who are shifting their attention towards Steemit.
Stephanie Herman, aka , already had a fairly successful (but unmonetized) blog, primarily due to the Venn diagrams she produces known as Geke Venns.
The diagrams show the overlap of progressive politicians and big business via the government's revolving doors. Along with her blog, Stephanie has written an economics book for kids.
Her Steemit blog includes fiction, poetry and economics. also works at Universal Studios and 3Play Media, her blog is informative and very well written, so please go and give her lots of Steemit support.

Barbara is a French artist whose blog was highlighted to me via the Steemlight chat channel by the winner of the Point One competition .
Again this is a blog for the visually minded of you. I would describe Barbara's art as fun, eclectic, with an interesting use of nature.
I would definitely recommend visiting and just having a good old browse.

Sometimes you visit a blog and you immediately get the sense of the writer's energy, and that is definitely the case with this Steemian.
From reading him I get the impression that not only is he artistic, he is also highly inquisitive, which makes for an interesting read.
What's not to love? A blog you can learn from and also admire some great photography as well.
is another Steemian who was submitted through the Steemlight chat channel, and I'm really glad he was, as I am always on the lookout for Steemians like him to follow.
