I decided over the last few days to get back into Steem Monsters, as I've sort of forgotten about it.
When I returned, I had a rank of novice =( - A lot less than my previous ranks of diamond/gold. I wanted to get back up there, but with the addition of the gems meter, I didn't want to do it as quickly as I usually would, as I'd be getting very little gems and be making quite ineffective use of it.
I gradually climbed the ranks and experienced a hurdle at the jump from silver to gold (yup, I'm now back into the gold league YAY!) It took me around 3 days to get over that hurdle (a lot of games as I've lost touch with the stratagies and it's changed a lot since I last played) but I'm so happy that I've made it back there.
I hope that I can get back into Steem Monsters daily, as I do enjoy the game, and today I decided to sink some more money into it! I now have a really nice earth deck, fairly capable for the gold leagues, even though I could used to get to the top of diamond with my lesser deck. I tried to get special abilities on as many of my cards as possible, and I've proabably spent about 100 STEEM getting these extra abilities, and now my cards are mostly up to two abilities each. I like the better summoners but I don't want to sink that much in yet. Here's my deck as of now:
