I managed to complete my DQ in only 6 battles today, which was a welcome change. I also treated myself to some new cards...

Daily Quest & Reward Cards
Apparently I picked a good time of day today, because completing my daily quest was easier than it has been in a while. It took me only 6 battles to complete it. It was not the level of my cards, nor my skills - I just got lucky with my opponents.
11 minutes, I think that's a new record for this account... 😎
If only the reward cards would have been in proportion with this record time, lol. But of curse they were not.
A Silvershield Archers card and two Exploding Dwarfs... if you ask me, they are even more useless than the Highland Archer, definitely at the lower levels. There are only 2 battle rules in which the Exploding Dwarf can have any use, and the Silvershield Archers... even at level 3 they are killed by one attack from the weakest card in the entire deck...
If a monster has shield, they don't even do any damage...
Definitely not one of the best reward card sets.
I checked the market price, and they would make me exactly 8 cents richer if I would sell them instantly. 😩
I already had the Silvershield Archers at level 3 - with 1 extra - so I can't even use them to level up.
The two Exploding Dwarfs, however, I could add to the 2 I already had and turn them into a level 2, with 1 extra.
For Sale
These are hard times for poor people trying to sell reward cards, as they aren't worth a lot.
I hope the idea of burning cards launched in the post he published two days ago gets some traction and will make the prices go up a little.
But money has to be earned if I want to keep building my deck, so I listed the two gold foils I had. The sale of gold foils has been going up and down, so I hope I've chosen a good time and they will sell quickly.
So - hint, hint 😉 - if you're in need of a gold foil Exploding Dwarf or Highland Archer, you know where to find them.
(And yes, I'm aware of the fact that I have just referred to both cards as the most useless reward cards of the pack, lol. But you can't blame a girl for trying, right?) 😅
New Cards
Like I said in the beginning, I treated myself to some new cards.
After all, I still had that 10 Steem in my wallet.
My first buys were functional buys. The cards were cheap and I use them often, so I made sure I could max them for the level 2 summoners I have.
2 Spineback Wolf cards to level up to level 3 for 0.226 Steem
2 Minotaur Warrior cards to level up to level 3 for 0.176 steem
4 Fire Beetle cards to level up from level 1 to level 3 for 0.468 steem
The last buy was a treat to myself. I had to complete my DQ with the Fire splinter today, and although my Fire Splinter is already pretty strong, I had the feeling it missed something.
Of course i'm dying to get an Elemetal Phoenix, which is like my most favorite card of the entire deck, next to Spirit Of the Forest, maybe - I will need to win the lottery before I can get one. And since it only has the blast-ability when it's a level 2-card, I will need to win the lottery twice to have it the way I want it.
So I settled for the next best thing and bought myself 2 Serpent Of The Flame alpha cards for 2.216 Steem.
I just looked up the sale on Peakmonsters, and I'm all confused. It is not the first time I see this happen. I'm 100% sure I bought 2 level 1 cards, and as you can see by looking at the image above, combining the two cards resulted in a plain level 2 card- without any extra XP.
Still, when I look up the sale on peakmonsters, I see this:
It's obvious there's a mistake on Peakmonster's end. I've seen it before, and every time I thought I had made a stupid mistake and wasted money. But now I'm 100% sure of what I bought - if you have to be careful what you spend, you pay more attention.
Anyway, I got my level 2 Serpent Of the Flame, and it has already paid off, since it has really helped me to complete my DQ that fast today.
Stats
Slowly but steady the value of my deck is growing. I'm curious to see if I will be able to make it to Silver 1 this season, but since I'm struggling to get my higher level decks to the same league as last season, I'm not sure I will succeed. Still, I will keep trying.
