I was fortunate enough to find post about Steem Monsters Strategy titled "The Ultimate Stratytorial part 1" (I haven't found part 2 yet) and read it through.
I skimmed some parts but was able to develop a new strategy as a result of reading.
At first I wasn't sure what I was doing and the "new strategy" conflicted with my old strategy. My old strategy consisted of doing the same silly things over and over while losing and expecting a different outcome, which by definition is a favorite quote of Albert Einstein:
Albert Einstein is widely credited with saying, “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results.”
As a result of I have a firmer grasp on one splinter in Steem Monsters (and maybe life itself).
My wins have been more consistent and my score is increasing faster.
The losses I have had are the result of 2 issues:
- Rejecting the solution in hopes of a better solution.
- When the game shuts down the splinter I am good at, offering a different splinter where I am not as strong I don't know what to do.
The second forces me to adlib tactics and lose.
I am only 25 points into silver 1 territory (which stretches from 1600 to 1899). After many (literally many) hours of gameplay, without further guidance, I have come to realize that continuing on would result in going back to silver 3 daily.
I may possibly go on a new quest if it is achievable for the 3 new cards but will most likely take the next 7 days 20 hours and some odd minutes off from my newly formed addiction and grasp the promised 18 new cards.
For now I will wind down and get some needed rest but will leave you with 2 thoughts.
- I love unicorns generally but totally completely dislike the one shown in the image below!
He/she is not a nice unicorn at all! He/she is evil and offensive in not letting me win and constantly regenerating health. Instead of ice cream (like other unicorns) I bet his/her poop tastes just like poop or worse!!
- The new monster card design show below:
"Young guy sitting on toilet" does not seem neither scary or steemmonster-like.
What would his special power be and what would the upgrades look like?
Which particular splinter is he? Water would fit but a case could be made for fire, Earth, life and death as well.
