Recently, my wife and I have gotten into the whole collectables game.I must admit it's becoming very addictive. I've never been a big collector of things in the past, except brief stints throughout high school where I collected basketball cards and stamps.
Coles Mini
In Australia, our local supermarket chain Coles recently introduced a set of 30 mini models of some of their most popular household products, products such as shampoos, bottled water, and vegemite. For every $30 you spend on groceries from Coles supermarkets, you are given a Coldes Mini toy.
My wife who loves cute things like that has been obsessively collecting these Coles Minis over recent weeks. She has even purchased a collectable frame for her Coles Minis. So far she has collected 13/30, with another 2 duplicates.
Today, she was particularly excited as she got one of the rare Coles Mini toys
Coles Mini VS Steem Monsters
Recently, I have gotten into the whole Steem Monsters craze too. I have been buying up booster packs hoping to get some rare monster cards. I'll right more about the Steem Monsters experience in a separate post, but the experience so far has been very positive and incredibly addictive.
At some stage I might have to fight with my wife over our remaining disposable budget, whether to spend it on Steem Monsters or Coles Minis. ;)
