We've had a pretty exciting past couple weeks in the world of Steem Monsters, and it's only going to get better! The game is already taking shape before our eyes, and we need to get moving on the voice acting portion as soon as possible! But to do so, a couple things we need to get set in place.

We need to see you in Discord!

We've tried to think of any way that this would be possible without making the Discord mandatory, and it's really not. Managing/communicating with 30-40+ individuals to coordinate voice acting quips is going to be nearly impossible for such a small development team. So please do us a favor and make yourself easy to find! It's already been quite a challenge just reaching out to all of you to inform you of the selections.

We have made a voice acting role and channel in the Steem Monsters Discord to make our lives easier in regards to getting in touch with our voice team.

Folks we could not find to include in our Discord role are as follows:

Hop in there and let us know you're with us and who you were cast as (some Discord names have been different from Steemit names which can get confusing)! Anyone who we do not hear from by 9/24 (10 days from this post) we will have to assume has ghosted or is not interested and we will have to fill the role with another!

Microphones

As we mentioned in a previous post, we need to make sure the quality is studio par, so Hive account@harrisonmir has been looking into budget mic options for our actors and actresses.

As of right now, we would recommend the Blue Snowball iCE, which runs for about $45. This specific mic isn't mandatory, but the quality standard is, so you can use your best judgement about how you would like to record! We can't be responsible for anyone making purchases that either don't work or aren't up to par.

While we are waiting, it may be ideal to figure out your recording situation. Once we start this process up, it is going to move quickly! Beta is already pretty far in development and we're going to need lots of voice samples to fill it out.
