Hey Guys, Aggroed here with exciting news about a new girl in town. Kiara is a summoner from the White Splinter in Steam Monsters. She’s debuting in the next round of cards later this summer. She’s here to protect and defend her home, but she’s still learning. Watch Kiara summon up a golem, an air elemental and start to redecorate the living room with her sister faster than you can say “this is why we can’t have nice things.”
She’s not the only heroine with a learning curve in Steam Monsters, but you’re going to have to wait to meet Dad and the rest of this destructive family.
Immersive Storytelling
I want this game to be as immersive as possible. I want the stories to come to life. I want parents and their children to sit around and draw monsters, tell stories, and play together. This can be easier with some animations to help bring a segment of those stories to life on screen. I chose Austin Visuals from Austin, Texas to bring my Steam Monsters script to life.
Austin Visuals is best known for commercial videos for big corporations, but they’re also experts in the kind of digital wizardry needed to bring this magical family to life. Turns out their team of 3D, 2D, Motion Graphics, VR/AV animators can accomplish just about anything.
The Team
Austin Visuals CEO - Matt Winters - He founded AV in 2007 after working at NASA. He’s personally leading the project working with some folks whose work you may have seen elsewhere
Gabriel Valles worked on several popular CCG games like Duels, Warstorm, Planetstorm, Space Jam, Quest for Camelot, The King And I, TV commercials, original animated series to name a few.
Kiy Tywoniw (pronounced Kai Tuh-wa'-nuh) grew up on an apple orchard in West Virginia with sticks, rocks, and a few VHS tapes of animated classics. Needless to say, he quickly fell in love with animation and has honed his skills in virtually every phase of animation. Kiy is now in Austin, so the apple does fall far from the tree..

Coming to Life
We’re bringing Steem Monsters to life. We’ll start with an intro, add some cut scenes, and who knows… maybe we’ll make our own cartoon with this. Be sure to follow and
to see how the animation gets made and put in some feedback as we go.
