The meaning of ‘degree holder’ can be said as ‘a person who has been awarded an academic degree’. Here, I want to raise a question, does the acquired degree of the individual signify everything? Is it enough to sustain and live happily in this world? The Indian philosopher Chanakya once said-“Education is the best friend. An educated person is respected everywhere. Education beats the beauty and the youth.” Perhaps, in his saying, he didn’t talk about the academic degree (I might be wrong!!). The college degree is not everything. It is bitter to say, but the boosting college education doesn’t incorporate to boost the earnings, intelligent and creativity. If you feel too proud because you are a degree holder then you might have to think again because within a next decade almost most of the people have it. Here, I do not mean to not to acquire the degree or not to go to the University. Besides that, you should be self-educated by reading the more books, experience the different life by traveling, cultivate both primary and ancillary skills, respect the people and humanity. Remember that the life is not all about career, success and social status. It’s all about helping people, working for humanity and changing the society. Change the world for good; don’t leave it the way you meet it. What you give, it comes to you in another way.
