Got my first Steem NOVA payout!
I've been playing Steem NOVA, the text-based space strategy game for over 2 months now.
It wasn't long after I started playing, that I created Logic Force alliance in order to cash in on the weekly payouts for those who played the game.

In the past couple of weeks, Logic Force increased in membership and in ranking. We went from just being on the list to 8th place to 4th place. Since we made it to the 8th place spot last week, we were rewarded a payout based on our ranking and each members point total share.
And, since a week has now passed by, it is time for those payouts to go out to each of the winning players.
Sure, 0.003 SBD doesn't seem like a lot, but when you see that 90% of STEEMians barely make 0.001 SBD on a post, this is something. Of course, it doesn't compared to the 1 SBD that I give out to the most improved alliance player each week, but it is something.
One of my alliance members posted an article today about the Steem NOVA payouts.
The simple answer is "upvote and reSteem" the article. But, the other simple answer, but harder to implement is to also be active on Steem in order to improve your Steem POWER which will increase your ability to upvote and provide a higher reward payout to the article.
Steem is not a get rich quick scheme for those who do not buy in to their Steem POWER. You will have to work hard to put out articles, make comments and generally participate in the community. Maybe, you'll get lucky and come up with a plan to get high reward payouts, like the Photobomb Challenges and other contests, but for most people, it is all about making posts that people want to read. And then, after you made those posts, continue to make those posts.
When I started out last year, I used Steemit Board as my guide to push out enough articles each day.
Even with my efforts to get an article out each day, it wasn't until a few months ago that I got a Monthly Author award. However, when I started, I made it a point to get out at least 4 articles each day, when I had the chance to get the articles out, so I could earn the Daily Author award. I don't do 4 articles every day now, but I have on occasion put out 4 or more in a day, which is why I have 62 awards.
But, back to the main point. In order to make rewards on contests go up, in the Steem World, you have to be active elsewhere, so that you can increase the reward for that contest. It takes more effort, but then you will be rewarded for that effort in the future. And that's what it is all about, making choices now for a better returns later.
So, get out there and make content, upvote and participate in the STEEMit Community!!!
