i know its kinda super late to post it about the sinulog event on sunday, but i wanted to express my experience during Sinulog Day.
The Sinulog Festival is a fabulous celebration for the Cebuano, and it is held on the 3rd Sunday of January in the city of Cebu. center of the Santo Niño celebration in the Cebu Philippines, one of the main highlights of this events is "The Sinulog Grand Parade" i think is runs for 10 to 12 hours only, but This parade is held on the final day on January 21,2018 and it is really popular for cebuanos peoples, but also foreigners from around the world visited only to watch Sinulog Festival Here in Cebu.
This is, what happens during the Sinulog Festival’s Grand parade!
It’s usually a long procession that consists of several grouped from the deffirent participants street dancers who are in colorful and amazingly costumes and backdropped with fabulous decorated each participants. they would perform either their own dance steps or the "The Sinulog dance" a very recognizable tune of the drumbeat that identifies this dance step perfectly depicts the meaning of the word of "Viva Pit Señor" every paticipants they would occasionally shout the words of “Viva Pit Señor!” which means “to plead the king of Santo Niño” There would also be a girl that’s usually in front of each groups who would always wave the icons of the Santo Niño in their hands as they move along the crowd.
I celebrated this event with my friend together her two kids Japanese friend guy.😂
the purpose they visited here in Cebu to experience "Sinulog Festival"!
after we watched the sinulog parade we went to Ayala to take a rest, especially our main purpose there is to watch the "Fireworks",
but it took us almost 2 hours waiting the fireworks start to show.
soo, our patience will achieve! Boom 😂
