I am proud to announce that my son has arrived.
Stats
- 9 pounds 4 ounces - he was the biggest of all of our kiddos
- 21 inches
- loves to eat and sleep
- the most loved little brother in the entire world
- he came out with more hair than all of his sisters
Personal Reflections
- I learned how hard it is to pee in under 2 minutes. That was the amount of time I had between contractions when my wife was laboring.
- Child birth is still one of the most miraculous and grossiest events I have ever experienced.
- I married a superhero. She endures pain like a champion and produces the most beautiful babies on the block.
- This was never just about having a son, but I am blessed to call him my son. I am the blessed daddy of 5 daughters. They are my princesses.
Lessons I Want To Teach Him
- Show honor to all people. Practice by showing honor to your mother and sisters.
- Lead by example. Be a leader people choose to follow, not forced to follow.
- Being absent is not a solution. In a world where men leave, choose to stay even when it is difficult.
- Bless others with your words and actions. Our hands are used to love others. Our mouths are used to build others up.
- Know what you believe and why you believe it. I want to you to follow the legacy of faith that has been set before us, but that is a personal choice, not a default position. The object of your faith is just as important as the amount of faith you have. Choose it wisely.
