Steem Votes are an important part of the Steem community and Steem ecosystem. We have the right to vote, and in my personal opinion, we have the responsibility to vote as well.
Important Facts To Know:
- Voting Power is renewable. Within a 24 hour period of time, you regain 20% of your overall voting power.
- 1 full vote (at 100%) decreases your voting power by 2%
- ten 100% votes = 20% decrease in total voting power
- twenty 50% votes = 20% decrease in total voting power
- forty 25% votes = = 20% decrease in total voting power
- Voting reduces your Power Voting as well as Resource Credits. In extreme situations (and especially for accounts with small amounts of Steem Power), a user could run out of Resource Credits before he/she runs out of Voting Power.
What To Do If You Can Not Vote Each Day?
If you are a new user to the Steem community, we want to welcome you. Sometimes it is hard to manage your Resource Credits when you first arrive. If this is the situation you face then I recommend you focusing your Resource Credits on engaging comments.
If you have been around for a while and have built up some Steem Power, then you most likely have the freedom to perform almost any action on the Steem blockchain.
If you can not manual vote every day, I recommend that you consider the following options:
- Follow A Curation Trail - one service that helps your manage curation trails is @SteemAuto
- Sell Your Votes - I know that this could be a controversial decision, but it is a viable way to earn some extra Steem. Check out Smart Steem if you want some additional information.
- Delegate Steem Power To A Cause or Community - Some communities and cause reward people who delegate to their Steem account. For example, @Actifit gives out AFIT Rewards. But if you find a great cause, then feel the freedom to support someone even without a payback.
Your Steem vote is a powerful tool. Make sure you use it to bless others!
