I find more and more that I've developed an affection for genre-specific games. When I was starting as a designer and reviewer, I loved the big, crunchy, heavy games.
Now?
Well, I'm working on a universal system, but I'm keeping it super-light for what it is (Hammercalled is 55 pages, and though it's incomplete it could probably benefit from some editing and be a mere 50 or so), so there's a little hypocrisy there.
It's hard to get people into roleplaying unless they're really familiar with it. Over here in the States Stranger Things and Matt Mercer have started something of a resurgence, but I don't know how many people really understand (though a lot of people will surprise you).
