I think the thing people overlook most about 2077 is that it's really a great synthesis of a bunch of different things. It's a systems-driven RPG that plays like a well-tuned FPS, with an open world that delivers a tightly crafted narrative experience. Those don't usually go together, and I've been critical of other games like The Outer Worlds that are similar in theory but not as neat in execution.
