Global P.O.S, a French publisher of software solutions for point of sale, announced at last year's Paris Retail Week, the future possibility for its partner chains (Petit Bateau, Maison du Monde, Boulanger, Sephora, etc.) to accept payment in Bitcoin (BTC) during 2020.
This will be done thanks to the Easy2Play Payment solution to be installed in the store and the EasyWallet application that the customer will have to purchase. This is the first European BTC portfolio to allow instant conversion of Bitcoin into euros. It also makes it possible to find the 25,000 points of sale that could accept BTCs.
How does this application work?
The customer arrives at the checkout of the partner store.
It opens the application and enters the amount of the purchase in euros.
The application performs a BTC to euro conversion.
EasyWallet generates a QRcode valid for 5 minutes, equal to the total amount to be paid.
Cash host scans QRcode.
Payment is validated at the cash desk thanks to the Easy2Play module installed in the cashier software.
Purchase paid in crypto-actives and the store was paid instantly in euros.
Now all we have to do is get some! (1 BTC= 6310, 12 € at 21/04/2020).
