There is a drink that I really like and I keep going back to the supermart to get more - Pear Soda.
I accumulated many empty bottles of them and decided to throw them away in the large chute. But then I saw something around the bottle that showed 0.40 Euros. I asked around and realised that I could actually return them to the recycling point at the supermart to claim 0.40 euros of shopping credit!
I counted the number of bottles I had - 7!
Off the supermart I went! I honestly did not know where the Recycling point was so I was very lost. I had to ask around and get redirected somewhere a little further away from the Supermart. I initially thought it might have been inside.
Let me show you what went down!
This means that I have an extra 2.80 euros to offset my purchase at the supermart.
This monetary incentive really makes everyone bring their recycled bottles down to slide into the machine. I think it's a really good initiative!
Maybe we could also try doing this in Singapore? I'd definitely be incentivised to recycle everything!
