Invisible threads
Deep down, the soul cries,
tied by silver ropes.
They're keeping her upright,
she slowly walks away broken.
Cracked by the touch of darkness,
a sigh makes the strings vibrate,
What's going on? Where am I?
The soul's gaze forks.
"You can barely see the shine of the silver threads."
Slowly raise your hands for clarity,
nothing but darkness.
His body's almost stopped moving,
the darkness has stolen its light.
The last of the threads splits,
with it, its shine is diminished.
It's a little glow now,
opaque, almost invisible.
The eyes of that soul close,
consumed by darkness.
Disappear,
He's gone, he's gone forever.
Original poem written by myself.
