Aaahhhh it's the season of love and giving again. And the time to be productive!
I'm an artist with a little bit of a "sideline", ya know. I have neeeeds. Luckily, a boss told me and gave me a once in a lifetime assignment.
So I went to a place and photographed something and saw this.
"Bato 4 Sale"
"Bato" means "Rock" in Filipino
I thought it was hilarious cos duh Rock for Sale lol. But then my colleague pointed out that the sand/dust formed a letter "O" which made the "Bato" to "Boto". Now, if we put it like this:
"Boto 4 Sale"
"Boto" means "Vote" in Filipino
It hit me. This isn't funny but a sad truth in the world of politics. We just had our election for Senatorial and other positions in the second week of May. Of course, vote buying is always present. But in my country, you can just give envelopes with CHEAP cash inside easily. I mean it would be very obvious that you're buying votes but people just accept it. Well of course, I would understand if you have needs but for fuck's sake can't you just accept the money and not vote for that ugly ass corrupt candidate plz? Geez, your vote is only $5 USD geeeezzzzz like you should at least learn to negotiate. XD
So I was like okay. Sad truth yeah. Then another shit hit me. It could actually be:
"Bato 4 Sale"
But this time, "Bato" means Methamphetamine / Meth / Crank / Poor Man's Cocaine in our local language. Aaaaahhhhhh I got sadder. Drugs are rampant in the country. And it made me the saddest when they didn't leave a contact number in there. What a retard! Didn't know proper marketing sheesh.
Anyway, sorry to disappoint you with the title. I don't have drugs. Because I am the drug. :P
Peace out, hihi.
