The man shipped a silver bar to a dealer to sell it back and it was lost the USPS only paid him $15 because that is the max they will pay for negotiable items. it must be registered to get eh fill value. Thought this was a tip everyone should know and because we all have that same anxiety when shipping the shiny. He was selling to American Precious Metals Exchange and they were the ones that told him to ship it insured, apparently that only works with UPS. So when shipping your shiny make sure you know how you can protect it.
