Got a ring that was my Grandfather's

Hi all.

My dear ole gran, almost 100 years young, gave me today her graduation ring from Arizona State University back in the 60's, and my grandpa's ring that was his father's. They had to cut it off his finger in the hospital. My grandpa passed away a few years ago.

These aren't getting scrapped, but I kinda want to get my grandpa's ring fixed, so I ask you, you People, the world, what is this ring? What is the symbology? Is it Golden Circle? Knights of Columbus? Freemasons? Or what? I just don't know. But it was my grandfather's father's ring, so it stays out of the melt pile. And I kinda want to repair it and wear it, but don't know what it symbolizes.

Any help is appreciated, as I just don't know what my great grandfather was in to.
