The Silvertowne Prospector "Poker Chip" is my Pocket Coin Challenge Partner for my visit to Las Vegas.
Poker Chip Prospector Makes Trip to Vegas
This coin is minted by Silvertowne Mint in Winchester, Indiana and the actual name is the SilverTowne Stackables™ Trademark Prospector 1oz .999 Silver Medallion.
My normal, every day carry coin is an American Silver Eagle; however, the "Poker Chip" appearance of the Silvertowne Prospector Stackable was too perfect for the trip to Las Vegas.

SILVERTOWNE TO SILVER CITY
The Silvertowne Poker Chip toured the Silver City and found more GOLD than Silver. The Las Vegas Strip was an extraordinary visit for the Poker Chip. However, none of the shops in the Miracle Mile Shops accepted the Poker Chip as money. They thought it was counterfeit because they had never heard of the Silvertowne Casino. I explained to them that Silvertown is a silver mint not a casino, but they still wanted fiat currency.
As has been saying, it's a shame that silver dollars are not accepted as currency. I suspected that "Silver City" (Las Vegas) would know a little bit about the silver. It was not meant to be. They only wanted to exchange fiat currency for their casino chips and vice versa.
The Bellagio Buffet restaurant did not accept the Silvertowne Poker Chip either, maybe I should have tried it at one of the fast food joints like is doing.

CASINO DOES NOT ACCEPT SILVER POKER CHIP / SILVER CASINO CHIP
The Cashier at the Cosmopolitan Casino did not exchange the Silvertowne Poker Chip. Furthermore, the Silvertowne Poker Chip could not be used in ANY of the gaming machines. Even in the Monopoly game wanted fiat currency rather than real silver.
Well, I also could not use the casino chips from the Bellagio Casino at the Ceasars Palace Casino, so I guess each casino only accepts their own chips.
NO FUN FOR YOU POKER CHIP - SO JUST SIGHT SEEING
Since the Poker Chip could not play any of the Las Vegas games, we just toured the Vegas Strip and enjoyed the sites. Here are some more pictures.
The Poker Chip did not show very well in most pictures . . . it was blurry and would not smile or shine due the the lack of accepance in Silver City. . . .
Here are the pics anyways. . .
