Silver is a superior form of money. It is for this reason that it is important to look at what things cost, in terms of silver ounces, and not just in terms of dollars, euros , pounds, etc. When prices fluctuate like you see below in the table, then you know something is wrong (think debt-based monetary system).
Below, is a long-term chart (I did) for median house prices in the US expressed in silver ounces.
Today, it takes 21 331 ounces of silver to buy a median house in the US. In 1980 it cost approximately 1 272 ounces. The day is coming that it will again cost 1 272 ounces (and even lower) to buy the median house in the US.
Below, are a few goods priced in silver. Most, are more expensive as compared to what they were at the silver price peak about six years ago (25 April 2011). It has been a rough time for silver investors. However, the tide is now turning.
