Isn’t she gorgeous?! And she has a DRAGON!!!
I can’t stop looking at this silver round. It has absolutely made the transition from one year to the next more joyful.
This beauty was sent to me from a Secret Santa, as part of some awesomeness organized by
. Canada Post started the holiday season by going on strike for a while at the end of November, so nothing has been fast here, and I didn't fish the package out of the mail until yesterday, New Year's Eve. But it’s actually better that it arrived when it did, as I was having a rough morning and it totally made my day.
I got a big belly laugh from the return address, and knew right away this was the package I’d been waiting for.
HA! HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!
Ahhhhh... I’m still laughing at that.
And then the note inside? Got me right in the heart, y’all.
I think the Discovery Fairy suits you. Writers, musicians, poets, people in tune with the world around them are on a constant journey of Discovery. The Discovery fairy holds her head high and is ready to take on all the world must throw at her.
^^ That hit home. Thank you.
Whoever sent this put a lot of thought into it. They literally made me laugh then cry. I mean, I was having a fragile mommy morning, so the tears were probably going to come at some point, but these were the best kind of tears.
So Santa S. Preston, Esquire sent me an Amy Brown silver round, complete with certificate from the “Anonymous Mint,” which I found fitting, considering the assignment.
IT’S JUST SO FREAKING BEAUTIFUL!!!
I can’t put her down. Those big angel wings? Those are the kind I sometimes feel on my back, massive ones with some feathers broken, some missing. Those are the ones I wrote of earlier this year in my poem, Growing Wings.
This is one more example to me of how much more happiness I have in my life because of being on the Steem blockchain.
Every time I look at this piece of silver a smile spreads across my face and my heart glows. I am sooooooooo grateful. So grateful. What a sweet way to start a new year.
Happy New Year to my Secret Santa, to all the stackers, and to everyone who’s on this adventure into 2019 together. May this year bring joy and abundance to us all!
Whatever happens, keep singing your song!
